A professional Disc Jockey will provide the following services:

Wedding Reception Planner ($200-$400)

 Wedding Reception Coordinator ($500-$1,100)                                   

 Master of Ceremonies ($300-$900)                                                                                       

 Disc Jockey ($500-$900)                                                                                                        

 Professional Disc Jockey Equipment ($400)                                                                         

Vast Music Library ($????: Nobody really rents out music libraries)

The combined total would be at a value of over $3,700.

#2 The impact a DJ's services would have on the overall success of failure of your wedding reception.

The national average spent on a wedding and reception would be approximately $20,000. If your guest left your reception one hour early, due to poor entertainment, your loss would be over $3,000! If your budget is half of the national average ($10,000), your loss would be over $1,500!

Why do some DJ's charge $200, $300 or even $500 for wedding receptions?

#1: They do not offer all the services that a professional DJ should. This could mean very little planning in advance with little or no coordination which can lead to serious problems at your wedding reception.

#2 They don't understand that success or failure of your wedding reception is their responsibility. This lack of understanding leads to less concern about the quality of their DJ service.

#3 Many DJ's work under larger Disc Jockey companies providing less than stellar quality while the company rakes in the $$. this allows them to hire every job that come their way at a cheap rate and send a DJ whom you have never met to cover your wedding reception.

The bottom line is, if you are paying less than $800 for your DJ, you are taking a chance on a DJ who is most likely not a real professional and may even sell your reception to an even less qualified DJ, that you will only meet for the first time at your wedding reception.

Our rates are not the most expensive  nor are they the cheapest. We believe in getting what you pay for and in order to spend the time necessary planning in advance for your wedding reception, meeting with you to define the smallest of details we charge accordingly.
